Well-Being: Beyond Just Coping

Strive for balance. Learn to balance your physical body, your emotional body, your mental body and your spiritual body. Think of each one contributing 25% to your whole balanced state.

How do you know if you are out of balance?
  • Poor sleep?
  • Shallow breathing?
  • Tight muscles?
  • Poor posture?
  • Irritable behavior?
  • Constant fatigue?
  • Poor diet?
  • No exercise?

The Pogust Group Well-Being Series

The Pogust Group offers a five-part series. Each one is designed for 1½ hours. The first session is an introduction, with each of the following four centered on balancing one of your bodies.

Each session uses a four-step process to structure a balance:

  1. Set intentions.
  2. Self assess.
  3. Select options.
  4. Survey progress.

There's a lot of talk right now about bringing social/emotional learning into classrooms. Educators need to be in balance themselves before they can effectively interact with the complexity of needs showcased in today's schools. This series is a great addition to a school's wellness program.
